About the music on this site

Many of the files are greatly compressed for smaller file size and faster listening. Although this reduces the quality of the recordings, which in some cases were even taken from a cassette, the music is still awesome. Keep an open mind!

Many of the songs showcased here are amateur recordings performed in such places as a living room, a basement, a summer house on a farmstead, and anywhere else our artists can record! Some were recorded in a studio.
